Welcome to My Site

Hello,
My name is Tracy L. Rainey and I am a Forensic Psychology Professional and Licensed Professional Counselor.  I have 28 years of experience working with victims of crime and with victimology agencies and systems.  Additionally, I have nearly 10 years experience providing mental health counseling.  I most often work with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and acute stress.  Therapy isn't a fix-it process.  I have found that therapy is a collaborative effort to find factors that have created difficulty and work on resolving or living with those factors in a healthier way.
Another service that you will see while visiting my page is my work with 1st responders.  I am a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) and have engaged in specialized training to be of the most service I can for responders. I have a special passion in serving first responders, forensic professionals, and crisis response service workers.  Having a professional who recognizes the unique stressors of being on the job is important.  While I do not know your role within the community, I start from a place of wanting to know your experiences and how they have impacted you.
I currently offer many services, including general mental health counseling, counseling specialized to law enforcement and emergency/crisis responders, counseling for forensic professionals, forensic consulting, and assistance with victimology program development, and training advocates and professionals who interact with victims of crime.  Most services are offered both in-person and through secure telehealth.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I look forward to hearing from you.   I look forward to hearing from you...
                                                                                                                  Dr. Tracy L. Rainey

General Counseling

General Counseling includes all typical life challenges.  From Generalized Anxiety, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, to trauma and workplace stress.  In general counseling, you will develop your own treatment goals and have support as you navigate life stressors.

First Responder Counseling

First Responder counseling specifically addresses trauma exposures, difficulties of shift work, command/agency stress, and how to protect your personal life while working in a demanding, crisis oriented, 24/7 field.  First Responder counseling is tailored to police, correctional workers, firefighters, veterans, dispatchers, and emergency medical workers.

Forensic Services

Forensic Services include expert testimony regarding domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and neurobiological and emotional responses to trauma.  Additionally, Dr. Rainey provides consultation services for forensic professionals.

Crisis Debriefing Services/Responder Support Services

Debriefing is perhaps the most important process employees can engage in if there has been a workplace trauma, accident, or crisis event.  Debriefing is a guided process led by a trained facilitator to help employees understand what has occurred, natural reactions to traumatic events, and how to maintain psychological, physical, and emotional wellness.  Debriefing and support services are open to the public and to first response agencies.

My goal as a therapist is to help restore your resiliency when difficult life experiences occur.
